I received a guitar as a gift but it is a Righty and I'm left handed!. Would a music shop give me the lefty version free!?

If there is a receipt with it, you can exchange it for a left handed version!.
Keep in mind, lefty guitars are more expensive than right handed ones!. So, you'll probably have to throw some of your own money in for the exchange to go through!.

well usualy left handed guitars are hard to come by, and are usualy slightly more expensive!.
