Answers:
No, it does not reflect the "style" you can play with them!. You can play any "style" with any slide!. The material that the slide is made of determines the tone that it gives!. Brass has a very bright tone!. Stainless steel has a little more mid-range and glass is warm with more bottom-end!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

hi, steel guitar playing or bottle-neck guitar playing was conceived by accident basically a guy one day turned his knife round and used the edge of it and produced a similar sound to the bottle-neck sound!. but that sound originated from Hawaii and adapted for blues!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

sure!.!.!.!. but the important thing to consider is that the player makes the style!. skydog played with a glass slide, but that never MADE him a "glass slide" player, he was a player that sometimes used a glass slide!.!.!.!.!.!. deep, huh!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeh it does, iv met some people who use slides made out of porcelain!! i use a plastic one sometimes which works really well on the dobro tuned to openD, but its all about what suits best for u i suppose!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
