How should I properly take care of my rosin? Please help :-)?!

Question: How should I properly take care of my rosin!? Please help :-)!?
I have had a few different rosins within the past year, and I like dark the best :-)!. I'm pretty sure light/dark is irrelevant in this question, but just in case!. My rosins keep drying up because I live in a dry climate!. I am just wondering, because I recently purchased new (dark) rosin, and I just would like to know a few tips or suggestions in how to take care of it!. :-) Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
you've gotten some very normal things to help preserve your rosin !.!.!. at the rosin company sites many of them recommend you buy new rosin every 4 months !.!.!.!. that's just balderdash just get it when you need it but getting a better rosin (I live in a desert area) will last longer and make sure you NEVER drop itWww@Enter-QA@Com

Your rosin is already dried up when you get it!. It just becomes cracked and chipped when it gets too hot and/or it is dropped!. I always get dark rosin too, and if it does not come with a cloth, I take it out of the box and wrap it in a piece of felt!. That protects from banging around in my case when I am taking my instrument somewhere!. Just don't leave it in direct sunlight, by the heater, by the cold window, or in a hot car!. Keep it in your case and you should be fine!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i'm not sure where you put it, but i only take out my rosin when i need to put some on my bow!. otherwise, it's always in my case and it doesn't have a chance to dry up (i didn't know they could)

but if you're already putting it in your case and everything, then try asking the people at the store about how to keep it in nice condition, they would probably know :]Www@Enter-QA@Com

To take care of your rosin, just make sure you keep it in a place where it doesn't become wet or too hot!. Like what the others said, a dry/cool compartment of your instrument case should be fine!.

It's actually natural for the rosin to dry up and look flaky - it doesn't impact on its effect =D

i hope this helpsWww@Enter-QA@Com

Well my music teacher told us to put it inside the small compartment inside our instrument case, and also not to put them near heat rediatorsWww@Enter-QA@Com
