Guitar Anxiety. Please help!?!
Question: Guitar Anxiety!. Please help!!?
I'm an outstanding singer and lyricist but for the life of me I cannot play the guitar!. I've tried everything but I keep having this problem with string resistance!. Whenever I play my pick will get stuck on the string, as if the string has gripped it with an iron fist!. Then, I'll have to start over and try again!.
I've been told to relax and play more lightly!. I've been told not to "dig in" so much to the strings and not to expose too much of the tip of my pick and nothing works!. I've tried to relax to the point of dropping my pick but the problem persists!.
I LOVE music and by all rights I should be a rockstar right now with my talent for coming up with good tunes and singing and so forth!.
Any advice!? Do I have a psychological problem!?
Do you think therapy will help!. I'm really really upset about this guitar anxiety!.!.!.if in fact that is what's causing my problem!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Angle your pick back slightly when strumming!. You should have little or no resistance if you do this right!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I don't know if this will work, but I used to have the exact same problem, and I just started using smaller picks!. You can probably find some really cheap at musiciansfriend!.com!. Hope it helps!Www@Enter-QA@Com
i could play guitar for you lol sometimes good singers cant play guitar to well
