Well for bass you can either use a pick or you use a walking motion with your fingers and electric is purely pick!. A second point to consider is whether you like to have the harmony or melody, bass is harmony and electric is melody!. And lastly consider what sound you like the best low or higher!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
well it all depends if you like to have a deep and furiousis sound!.

Try both and see which of the two sounds you enjoy making more!. I mean, I could probably go all psycho-analyzing on you, and tell you that if you really like playing it up for the crowd, go for lead, but then I'd be insulting the bassists!.
