Answers:
The bass guitar is an octave lower than the four lowest strings of a treble guitar!. Some songs are produced so it's almost impossible to hear the bass!. And sometimes if you don't have a lot of musical knowledge, you can't disassociate the sound of one instrument from another in your mind!. So don't feel bad if you can't!.

P!.S!. If you're listening to The White Stripes or "When Doves Cry" by Prince, you might as well give up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Being a bass player I can naturally hear it!. Sometimes, though, the sound goes along with the bass drum and its usually at a much lower frequency than a electric guitar!. Most of the time you really have to listen for it!. Another thing you can do is turn on the bass boost EQ on your I-Pod!. It helps you to foucus on the sound better!. =]!. Happy listening!Www@Enter-QA@Com
