Question: What is the big deal about Illmatic!?
I'm sorry, I tried to like Illmatic, I really did, but I just don't understand what is so good about it!. The only beat on it that I thought was any good was Represent!. Then I thought that maybe people liked it for the lyrics, but when I re-listened to it, I found that the lyrics were pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary!. This bothers me because I usually am able to appreciate all the albums that are hailed as classics, but in this case, I just can't!.
Oh and by the way, this is not the first time that I am hearing illmatic!. I first listened to it 8 years ago and I didn't like it then either!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, that's your opinion, and i respect that!. I'm not gonna tie you on a tree just because you don't like Illmatic!. Hey, i don't like reasonable doubt by jay z, when lots of other people do, so i judge albums some times!. But personally for me, Illmatic is a great album!. I'm glad i had the chance to listen to it, because it really opened my eyes to real hip hop!. I love every song on it!. production and lyricism was just flawless!. But If you don't like it, that's fine too!. I mean, we can't force you to like a CD!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Illmatic is kind of an acquired taste to people with mainstream ears
If you didn't like the beats you've got no SOUL

Dont listen Hip Hop anymore, is good, can be very good, but if you are a music fan, ROCK is the genre, i was a BIG hip hop fan last year!.
