and,,it depends!. If they are new to the scene!.!.naw!.!.!.!. gateway bands are gateway bands!.!.and i like some very mainstream bands!.
BUT!.!.!.!. if I know they have listened for years!.!.!. and refuse to go outside the Radio friendly stuff!.!.well!.!.I feel it is their loss, not mine!.
The only ones I pity are the ones who bash great metal bands like Nightwish, Melechesh, Iced Earth and the like!.!.!. but who swear by Slipknot and Korn!. I got no problem with individuals having different tastes!.!.!.but that kind of attitude to me just seems like someone that the media owns hook line and sinker!.
I definitely am one for expanding ones musical base!.
