Innovative techno bands?!

Question: Innovative techno bands!?
So I've been getting into techno a little bit, but it's hard to find stuff I like!. I hate dance techno, or techno with horrible DJ voices dubbed over, or really happy melodies, or samples from the 80's and 90's thrown over it!. Singers are usually horrible in techno, so if they have singing it should be carefully selected and not overdone!.

I need good techno band recommendations, bands that really take the genres to new levels, that make their own samples, try new things, maybe even throw in some regular acoustic sounds in too!. I like scratchy sounds and playing with dynamics, messing with time!. Yeah, interesting beats and time signatures are very important for me!.

"Rollin' and Scratchin'" by Daft Punk is the type of thing I'm looking for, but I've heard their albums and hated most of it!. Crystal method is ok, a little soft sometime!. Chemical Brothers are ok, haven't heard too much!. But i want something more!.

If you give me recommendations, DO NOT just list 20-30 bands from your playlist, pick the very best, top 3 please please!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cut Copy

33 Hz

Lemon Jelly

Atari Teenage Riot (harder, faster beats, distorted guitars)

Stereolab (One of my favorite bands, they have a bunch of different experimental sounds that use odd time signatures and modulating keys, experiment a LOT with electronic influence and crazy sounds!.)

Edit: I just listened to I Am X-ray, and they stink!. It's just generic rave trance with vocoder treated vocals on top!. No real substance!.

EDIT: I can definitely recommend some albums by Stereolab!. They had a period between like 94 and 2000 where they were produced by members of the band Tortoise!. I think this is their most innovative work, I would listen to these albums:

1!. Dots And Loops (this should be number one, it's SO good)
2!. Cobra And Phases Group Play Voltage In The Milky Night
3!. First of the Microbe Hunters
4!. Emperor Tomato Ketchup
5!. Sound Dust

I would also check out (after at least 3 of the above):
-Aluminum Tunes (more Tortoise-era stuff)
-Mars Audiac Quintet (older, noisier and more space rock'ish, but GREAT use of synthesizers, I love this album)
-Fab Four Suture (2nd Newest one, has some good tracks)
-Chemical Chords (newest one, poppy but still very deep sounding, I really like it as an evolution on their sound!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
