Why do a lot of metal fans hate Death Metal?!

Question: Why do a lot of metal fans hate Death Metal!?
Note: Please, for goat's sake, if you think Slipknot is death metal, well it's not!. And for some people, Lamb of God is not Death Metal!.

Okay, back to the Q!. I mean, IMO, if you're truly a metal fan, won't you like them!? Or at least give respect to them!? What do you think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
I like death metal!. I can see where people may get their opinions what with brutal death bands and what not!. But seriously, if most of them listened to the band Death, they would probably fall in love with the genre!.

And yeah, even if its not your cup of tea, you should respect the bands for the music they make!.

Edit-- My opinion comes from the fact that I'm not picky with music!. I think its meant to be explored and enjoyed by many!. People need to show respect for an artist who is putting their all into making the music even if they don't like the style!.

I like brutal death!.!.!. Its about what people think, what they enjoy, what makes them ponder, what talks to them unlike anything else!. Art in general is a thing of one's taste!. People like it because it speaks to them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like High on Fire and some other "Death Metal" bands, but I think the crucial problem is no one is really sure what death metal is!. It seems to encompass everything from Deicide to Impaled Nazarene to Dying Fetus to Dimmu Borgir; and some of the bands tend to flirt with mainstream success (which annoys hardcore metal fans who hate having other people like what they like) and others are nearly as extreme as black metal, and so they alienate people who think it's strange to glorify burning down churches!. In short, it just has a fuzzy place in the context of metal, it's not linked to a particular place, nor does it have strict stylistic conventions, it is rather just everything that isn't mainstream metal, or one of the many many many subgenres, so it catches all the flak with none of the credit, which is pretty unfair!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Lol for goat's sake! LMAO!

To answer your question: Death Metal is a genre where melody and beauty will be hard to find!. It focuses on speed, rythm, technicallity, dissonnance and gore lyrics!. The vocals are growled!. So it's obviously not a style made to appeal!. There are still some bands that are original enough to create their own distinctive style in the genre, but sadly too many of them are just plain old generic stuff, and you can't distinguish one song/band from another!.!.!. That's probably why people tend to hate it!. They consider it as noise!.

I personally like a few death metal bands, like Behemoth, Born of Osiris, the melodeath bands and some others!.!.!.!. I respect them for their technical abilities, but honestly, many of them suck in the creativity!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i LOVE metal, mainly 80's

but as you say i dont realy like death, i respect it but i dont like it, i call death is like muted metal, with out the growling the song would be amazing, its the growling that people donr realy like, thats why i like power metal, because it has the raw intense guitars and drums as death but not the vocals(Dream Evil)Www@Enter-QA@Com

The growling and downtuned guitars I think!. It isn't the "normal" for traditional metalheads!. I personally think DM is the best genre!. Well Melo-death but anyways!.!.!.

slipknot/korn= pop metal(basically)
Lamb Of God= good stuff, just not death metal!.

DEATH=GODS, that's all folks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I know many metal fans cant get into it because its too chaotic for them or they cant follow whats going on, they often complain of lack of structure to the song for many people also Prog Metal is just not for them many people prefer the average song structure and that's fine you know 8 to 10 min!. songs with a 100 changes isn't for everyone, I have also herd complaints about lyrical content and vocalsWww@Enter-QA@Com

I'm not a very big fan of metal!. I like bands like Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica, etc!. However, I don't really like death metal!. Idk y, but death metal just isn't my cup of tea!. To be perfectly honest, I used to think Slipknot was death metal, and I don't like them either!. Sorry, but I just don't like it, probably b/c I'm not that into metal!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

i like slipknot and yeah its not death metal but its good

any way!.!.!.!.i like the screamo stuff ( i have like 50 songs where they pretty much scream the whole time!.!.!.) Diecast and all that remains are pretty good dont know if it is considered death metal but i dont care!.
oh and definatly respect the music that death metal groups make its insane!!!!!!!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, I am not fan of the Brutal Death Metal music!. I am a big fan though of the Technical and Melodic styles of Death Metal!. That is my view of Death Metal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well I love Melodic Death Metal, does that count!?

and there are a couple of brutal death metal bands I like!.!.!.and even though Deathcore isn't pure Death Metal it's still around 3/4 Death Metal and I enjoy a couple of Deathcore bands!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

oh i love death metal!.!.!.but not limited to it!.!.!.!.i'll go from anything like iron maiden, to testament, to morbid angel, and right back to something like judas priestWww@Enter-QA@Com

Death is good, and some old Mayhem too!.!.!.I am going to have to put Slayer in there as well!. Maybe not "Death Metal" by some standards, but they sure as hell influenced every death metal band out there!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Perhaps they are can't let go of the blues and rock aspects of metal!.!.!.either that or they are just pu$$ie$!Www@Enter-QA@Com

when it comes down to it its vocals
people think its screaming b!.s!.
just like any other genre of music that uses screams
