Curious, none of the other answers are classical music, neither is your selection - so why did you post this in the classical music forum!. Do you think people who listen to classical music are pre-occupied with death!?
I am not sure what I would want played at my funeral!.!.!. maybe "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis!." That is beautiful and uplifting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Actually I do sing in a Funeral Choir!. Frequently music for funerals is not really thought about much prior to death (unless that person is a musician & has a special love for music)!.
For myself---I like "Pie Jesu" by Gabriel Faure---a soprano or boy soprano solo!. It is from Faure's "Requiem", which I have sung many times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The funeral is for the Survivors, not the deceased, so I know what my family would want to hear to say goodbye, it is an easy choice:

"Nimrod" from the Enigma Variations by Elgar!.!.!.!.so moving!. It will let the Particles fly away to become star dust or an elephants trunk!.

Cliff E!. (classic guitarist)

Any movement of Dvorak's 9th, the first or finale of his 8th, the Ronde du Princesses from Stravinsky's Firebird, or the finale of Prokofiev's 1st!.

I'd like a small choral ensemble to perform Palestrina's "Sicut Cervus" and Josquin's "Ave Maria", and I'd like a soloist (specifically, a particular friend of mine from university) to perform Schubert's "Auf dem wasser zu singen"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
