Question: What is a good guitar for a 10 year old wanting to learn!?
I've been looking on ebay and have seen some good prices on epiphones, takamine jasmines, and fender starcasters!. Which would be the better pick or would you recommend another!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd recommend any super shallow cut Ovation Acoustic guitar!.
Simply because he's 10 years old!. He's going to grow, but a full sized acoustic with a full body is going to be a little bulky on him!. An Ovation Super Shallow Cut is a smaller body guitar with thinner necks, much easier for females and young adults to play on!. Now Ovation Super Shallow Cut guitars are not just for Kids and females, they are normal sized guitars, they are just shaped thinner and some guitarists prefer that!. I own 2 ovations for that reason, I like how they feel and sound!. I'd at least have him try one at a local music shop if possible!.
also I'd recommend purchasing the guitar from an actual music store like Sweetwater!. Sweetwater is my favorite because they give a 55 point inspection on every guitar before sending it out, and also you can get a free setup on the action of the guitar!. Ask the store to lower the action as much as possible without buzzing, this will get the strings closer to the fret board and require less finger strength to produce the right sounds!. It's a great thing for beginners, and something a lot of experienced guitarists do!.

well it's good you're looking at good guitars!. For a ten year old thats learning, though, you never know if they'll change their mind!. My mom and dad bought me a 500 saxophone and i played it 3 times!. I would go for a harmony for acoustic!. And a baby Dean for electric (baby because it's alot easier to learn)Www@Enter-QA@Com
I am 29, and just started playing full time last year!. I bought this(http://www!.amazon!.com/Behringer-MetAlien!.!.!. as a starter since it came with an amp!. It is really good for a starter!. I just upgraded my amp to a Line 6 Spider 3!. You dont have to spend a lot!. You should go to your local music store and see what they have and see if your kid likes any of them!.
