How would I become a section leader next year if...?!
Question: How would I become a section leader next year if!.!.!.!?
I am a sophomore now, and a junior next year!. I really want to become section leader with 2 other people!. There are 11 flutes in my section and i am not the best but the 3rd best in command!. Would it be possible if I could become section leader!? I play the piccolo and currently me and this other girl is too!. I'm in the worst band at the school but I know i don't belong there cause i can easily play what they have for hard!. The only reason I am there is cause i messed up on the final really badly cause i was really nervous!. Suggestions for me to become section leader!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

Practice Practice Practice!. also talk to your director about where you have room to grow!. Flute is very popular and there are a lot of girls that don't have anything better to do than lock themselves in a room and play all day!. If you plan on being in a better band and/or section leader this is going to have to be you also!. If you can afford it talk to your parents and maybe you can get a really good teacher!. Good players are not necessarily good teachers and again maybe talk to your director on what they recommend!. Repetition really is the key though if you want to avoid messing up!. I wish there was an easier way but you are really going to have to want to keep on playing not just to beat other people but because you LIKE to play!. One is the means to an end and the other is the end result!. You have to want both for it to work!. It is definitely possible!. Just be happy where you are and keep improving a little each day!.
