Question: Problem with singing, because of smoking rooms and loud places!?
Hi, singing is my biggest love!.!.!. I went to some classes and learned very proper singing technique!.!.!. Now, my problem is that my voice is very sensitive to smoking rooms, talking in loud clubs etc!.!.!. It often goes hoarse when I am in loud club with lot of smoke etc!.!.!. So it's hard for me to sing after that cause my throath is not in a good shape after that!. I'm going to clubs with my friends and it's not something I can stop doing to prevent this cause my friends are important to me :))) but is there anything I can do to prevent smoke and talk in loud places makes my throat hurts after every time I go out!.!.!. So, any singing instructors there!?!?!? :)))

The smoke dries out your throat, and excessive drinking will bring on dehydration!. Drink watter instead of liquor, and speak like you sing (form the diaphragm not the throat) talking loudly is Very stressful on the chords!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
When I sing I always drink hot honey and lemon tea beforehand!. also, I cut down on dairy products the days before I sing!. This actually works to make your voice clearer, no joke!. You might have a slight case of asthma or be allergic to smoke!. Talk to a doctor about allergy meds/inhalers that may help!. Drink lots of water and step outside for fresh hair before performing!. also, if singing is very important to you, you may want to see a voice specialist or ear/nose/throat doc to see if they notice anything going on in there!.

No there is nothing you can do except stay out of smoky places
i suffered for years singing in night clubs , with bad throats i was always at doctors!.
Now if any one phones me to do a job i only work in smoke free places
Dont know where you are, but in Australia most places haver banned smoking inside venues its great now i dont have to sufferWww@Enter-QA@Com
