Question: What actually makes a good singer !?
but can like anyone sing with practise, or do you jsut kinda have to be born with it, what actually makes a good singer, i dont understand notes and all that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Practice and lessons are important, but if you're not born with a brain that understands music or born with a voice which naturally has the possibility of sounding good, then no amount of training will help you (just look at "opera star" Florence Foster)!. You also have to have a passion for it!. I've known some people with gorgeous voices, but they just didn't care about what they were singing!. I'd rather watch a tone deaf person who loves the music than watch a person with a great voice but no passion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
well, there are born singers, there are trained singers, and there are "will-never-become" singers!. :) notes are actually for pianists!. the thing is, when you know how to read notes on the piano and play it on the keyboard, you will be able to sing the song without listening to the original one because you only have to follow the way the piano goes!. a good singer can get and ride on different tunes easily!. he/she sings with passion and emotions, he can manage his voice and avoid cracking it, and doesn't do nasal singing!. as for voices, there are a wide variety, all can do with singing (but it usually fits a certain genre), may it be husky, sweet, or whatever!. practicing makes you discover more about singing!. however, others aren't just so gifted with these stuffs, so they can't sing well no matter how hard he practices!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

2) In order to be hired, you need to : follow conducting directions; be able to sightread (look at a piece of sheet music and be able to sing it); understand basic musicianship (dynamics, tempo, expression, phrasing)!.
