What is the impact rap music has on teens?!

The impact that rap music has on teenagers varies from teen to teen, how they were raised, how naive they are, and how much common sense they have!. most teenagers i know take rap music for mainly what it is!. and that's just music or a song!. some other teens, who weren't taught to distinguish a facade from real everyday living listen to rap music and think they can go out and be and do certain things!. it doesn't however, have the impact some people want it to have!. most parents or community figures want to say that's why kids or teens act up, use drugs, hit or disrespect women, and use rap fro a scapegoat for their parental shortcomings!. case in point, the impact of any music or form of entertainment starts at home!.!.!.if your raise your child to let music govern their thinking that's your fault, not the music!.

Don't use their answers because they don't know what they are talking about!. It depends on the certain teenager of what kind of impact it has on them!. Some teenagers go through having to deal with shootings, drugs, the ghetto, and things like that on a daily basis!. So they can relate to the music!. I'm not really sure if I would say it has an impact exactly, but if it does it definitely isn't a bad one!. Just because teenagers listen to rap/hip hop music doesn't mean they start to deal drugs, cause shootings, have sex more, or anything like that!. The reason they listen to it could be just because they like the beat, or because they can relate, or because it helps them realize what actually goes down in the world!. My psychology teacher used the example of 'gangster rap' as something which is physiologically arousing and thus can lead to aggressive, anti-social behaviour!.
