but i surely dont see anything wrong with remakes if theyre done properly
it kinda brings life back to the original and helps the original artist get some new recognition

Those ripoffs are usually done with the permission of the original artist!. If you're talking about All Summer Long, Kid Rock is buddies with the boys in Skynyrd and that's not the first Skynyrd ripoff he's done!.

I think that since he's paying royalties (and respect) to both other bands that its fine!.
He's not trying to take credit for anything except a remix!.
So long as an artist pays respect, and money to the original bands; its ok with me!.
Kenny Chesney can suck my left tit! I've seen him up close and personal (a tiny 'bar' in the british virgin islands with about 15 other people); and I was not impressed in any way with him!. He couldn't even remember all the words to 'every rose has its thorn' (the easiest song ever!), and why start singing something if you can't finish it!? !.!.!. he sucks donkey balls!. Why the hell does everyone hate him!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? At least he only makes good covers of songs and not "damage" them like most artists do!. I like his songs!
