Answers:
I'll agree with Hendrix
2- Steve Howe- the most versatile!
3- Ritchie Blackmore- massively influential and superbly gifted
4- Page- writing and emotion
5- Rory Gallagher- Hendrix's favorite player, he was offered the Deep Purple gig after Blackmore left; the Stones wanted him after Mick Taylor; and Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker wanted him after Cream split up!. Rory is my pick for top rock/blues player ever!. Great writer also!. Fans of SRV would LOVE him!.

Honorable mention: Jeff Beck and David Gilmour

1!. Joe Satriani - Guitar is an extention of him!. He knows how to manipulate it in ANY way!. And he can make more than memorable songs WITHOUT any singing!. He can cross jazz, blues, and rock all into one, with a little easy listening stuck in there!. He knows guitar NOT just one genre!.

2!. Guitarists from Queensryche - Know how to implement REAL emotion

3!. Guitartists from Tesla - Creative riffs

4!. Guitarists from Scorpions - Know different melodies VERY well

5!. George Lynch (Dokken) - Crazy unique style of play

The reason I don't think most of the other picks that have been made are in the top five, is while they may be the pioneers of there generations, they never truly tried to set themselves apart once the new genre of music they created was popular!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
