Is the switch from clarinet to saxaphone difficult?!

Question: Is the switch from clarinet to saxaphone difficult!?
I'm a clarinetist, and have playing for 2 and a half years!. I'm pretty good (7th chair out of 21!)!. I like the instrument but would really like to switch to saxaphone because!.!.!.
-I am one out of 21 clarinets and would like something less people play (there are 7 saxs in my band)
-My dad has an alto or tenor sax on hand (i'm not sure of the difference), we just need to fix it up
-I would be the only girl sax, just throwing that out there
-I really like the saxaphone sound
But is it hard!? And does sax have different fingering that clarinet!? Or are they the same or at least similar!?
Mainly my question is would someone who is considered very good at clarinet have an easy time learning sax!?
Thanks so much, sorry its a bit long!Www@Enter-QA@Com
