I have Guitar Hero 3 and I enjoyed a lot of the songs like!.!.!.

I like the track lists on GH 1&2 and RB 1&2 and DLC!. The GH3 one is okay!. Raining Blood is an epic win!. The other 2 fail!. Try these bands and albums:

I think Guitar hero 2 had the overall best setlist because they had songs from Alice in Chains, Thin Lizzy, Guns 'n Roses, Skynrd, The Allman Brothers, and many other greats!.
However, GH3 had almost all Master tracks, so that was cool!.
Alas, I can never encourage playing real guitar enough, as it is thousands of times better than that plastic simulation game!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Okay first of all I'd like to say that I'm proud of you, lol!. Being a hip-hop head interested in listening to some rock songs!.!.!.that's good, my dear boy!.
Anyway, I suggest some of *my* favourites off GH3:
The Seeker- The Who [or pretty much ANY who song, they are awesome]
Paint It Black - Rolling Stones
Anarchy In The UK- Pistols
Barracuda - Heart
I like FCPREMIX - Fall Of Troy

Uh, no!. The only good song there is Raining Blood!. The other two songs at sh*t, IMO!.
Since you like rap, start out with Nu Metal!. It's a combination of Rap and Rock, which is probably why you like Slipknot, a Nu Metal band!.
Try looking at these bands!. (Though with some of them it could be debated about them being Nu Metal)

I've always liked Guitar Hero II's setlist best!. With songs like Sweet Child O' Mine and Freebird, who can't resist rocking out to that game!.

The Guitar Hero games are good, but more than half of the bonus songs on all of them are bad!.
