When guitarist make facial expressions there is no other way to say it, it’s a feeling thing and something bizarre and it just happens!. There are those music fans out there that love music so much they often feel the same things and can sometimes relate on a connective level music is one of those phenomenon that can bring everyone’s emotions on a universal level especially say at a concert or show or even a radio and somewhere someone is listening to the same thing and perhaps at a moment feel the same thing form miles away, my god how did I get on a philosophical tangent wow to many long answers today lets get off the hypothetical and theoretical “spiritual physics” of things because there is really no equation to prove any of this in short IT’S A FEELING THING!.
A guitarist that makes not too many expressions is David Gilmore, sure younger he made some expressions but as he got older he would often times just pucker his lips and look in deep thought with not too many expressions such as 1994, and now he’s an old man and the last time saw him play he didn’t make any expressions even though I know is heart is there into it!.
A lot!? Steve Vai, in fact he does OPENLY TOO MUCH he doesn’t care what anyone thinks or how stupid me might look that dude has got the facial expressions going on!.
May I mention me please!? I try not to make any in fact I get extremely embarrassed and self-conscious And many people have told my I look like I play with no feeling at all but its there trust me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because guitar playing is, can, and should be a very physical AND emotional activity -- hence, the facial expressions!. Some guitarists don't emote much, and some over-emote -- I would fall somewhere in the middle!. I don't think about making "guitar faces," but from what I'm told, I do make them!. I just know that I am letting myself go when I play, and I try to make the damn thing sing, and sometimes I'm even mouthing what I am playing !. !. !. sometimes, whatever I'm playing is so demanding, physically and otherwise, that I am really gritting my teeth to play it !. !. !. so !. !. !. there you go!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
