As CD sales decline, will the concept of the "album" or "LP"!

Question: As CD sales decline, will the concept of the "album" or "LP" with a cover and program of music decline with it!?
LPs first came along in the late 1940s and came into their own in the 1950s!. They later were called what we know today as "albums"!. An individual or group puts out an album with its own cover art, designed packaging, liner notes, and a program of music - meaning the songs all go together and are presented in the order the artists you want!. also, the songs might be together on the album because they share a common theme or style!. This is sometimes called "the concept album"!.

These days, sales of Compact Discs decline more and more every year!.

People increasingly get their music from digital sources and its often one song at a time, or many songs from many artists at once!.

Will the decline in use of hard copy formats like CDs,tapes, phonograph records mean the end of the "album" as we have known it!?

And do you think we're losing something really great in this!?

Answers:
It'll be less common!.!.!.there are audiophiles out there (or me, who is a sucker for cover art as well as the music) who'd keep on buying music!.!.!.but, yeah, I think we're losing something great within the decline!. Sure, you'll have the music, but you won't have much of the meaning that the artists would want you to see in their album sleeves, or who did what in the studio, or the Thank Yous!.

But if it makes you feel happy, there's a bit of a debate on whether or not they should pull the plug on iTunes (Apple makes tons of money off of it, but the record company gets around 4-9 cents per song)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Times are definitely changing and cd's will soon be obsolete!. We are already witnessing the end as we knew it!. Everything from movies to music is now being downloaded!. The days of buying cd's and visiting your video stores for movies are over!. It is more cost effective for businesses and time consuming for consumers to do everything from home, on the computer, at the touch of a button!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The album won't die, but it may become less common, especially among tp 40 artists!.!.!. but you know, artists still release LPs , as in on vinyl, because they still sell!. Because they are beloved!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
