Question: I like classical music, but I'm lost as to what to listen to!. Anyone have any ideas for new listener!?
I love classical music, but have no idea what exactly what to listen to that are the staples, a list to become familiar with in becoming well versed!. I especially like the Cello, Harp and Violin!. Thanks so much!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Beethoven's 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th symphonies!. Violin Concerto!. Piano Concerto no!. 5!.

Mozart's 25th, 40th and 41st symphonies!. Several concertos!. The operas Marriage of Figaro and Magic Flute!.

Bach's Brandenburg concertos, Goldenberg variations and the Well Tempered Klavier!.

Vivaldi's Mandolin Concerto!. Vivaldi wrote for many combinations of instruments and many are good!.

Listen to Wagner's 'In fernem land' and evening star!.

Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas!.

More recently!. Stravinsky's Rite or Spring, Bartok's music for Strings, percussion and celesta and John Adam's Short Ride in a Fast machine!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you want something a bit more exciting then listen to any of the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks!. It's all classical music but its got this intensity to it that gets you into the music as its being played!. Any of the Lord of the Rings are also that way!.
