Guitar player question?!

Believe it or not, not as long as you'd think!. What he was doing was alternate or tremolo picking really fast between like 4 notes on the high E and B strings!. I've found that by practicing chromatics (alternate picking the frets using all fingers in a 1,2,3,4 style) you can get alot faster!. For me it'd probably take about 6 months of practicing just that lick and nothing else for an hour a day and doing it in slow motion and whatnot!. However some people just have a knack for the instrument and can learn faster than others!. Really you never know!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dang they left out the best part his dance and nunchuks skit at the beginning when first comes out on stage!. I have seen this before and what he is doing is a 16th note picking pattern that he ripped off Paul Gilbert I use the same exact one I kid you not I ripp off Gilbert all the time and try to incorporate it in my own style, then he starts a chromatic scale run up the neck also 16the notes!. then he goes into his bizarre 2 hand tapping thing with his effects!. after your first year or 2 years of playing if you practice about 8 hours a day and learn all the basic techniques on average you could prob start learning things like that I would say all depending how bright you are and if you have the natural nitch 3 or 4 years on average with lots of practiceWww@Enter-QA@Com

You'd probably have to say goodbye to your friends, and hang out and play every waking hour of the day for about 10 years!. And then keep practicing for a few more years!.
