The "Head-Liner" is usually the bigger artist by popularity therefore bringing the most fans into the venue!. Whereas the "Opener" is either an up and coming band / artist of the same genre as the head-liner, or a band equally as popular but with less hits and a shorter set!. The second case is usually found more in Country Music!.
