again one of my fav bands
but i dont think they get the credit they deserve,,not really!.!.
im 38,,,a huge metal-head and to ME there the kings of thrash,,and if you listen to the first cd and the latest is shows something,,,you can musically grow and not slow down or sell out,,name a Slayer ballad,,,go ahead ,,,list ALL of them,,,ill wait!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.no!?,,,hmmmmm

i know i know,,, Metallica sold more cd's and sell out more and bigger shows and bla bla bla,,the reason i like R&P is that its your opinion,,and for the most part its put together well and respected,,so this is just what I think,,

Love them!. But I really have to hear the stuff from the mid 90s on!.
All I can say is, they seem to be the only band of that era/genre who've stuck to their guns!.

i like slayer but i have to be in the mood for them--its not something i would listen to it first thing in the morning!.!.!.i prefer the "slower" slayer albums--"south of heaven" and "seasons in the abyss"--it seems to have more rhythm and the songs stand apart from each other more compared to the earlier "fast" slayer!.!.!. the "god hates us all" cd is good tooWww@Enter-QA@Com
They are really great!.I love the fact that it's a team effort i!.e!. Hanneman, King & Araya each contribute to lyrics & music in their own way, bringing their own influences to each song!.That's how you get a much more interesting album!.

I'm not much of a fan of Slayer, but their drummer, Dave Lombardo, is amazing!. After seeing what he can do live, I saw him with Fantomas - I was blown away!. I've enjoyed almost all of his side projects away from Slayer - really innovative and sometimes experimental stuff!. Talented technical drummer!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Of the big 4 of thrash metal, they're easily my least favorite!.!.!.lot of songs do not sound good, and lyrics don't make it any better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I do like them, and I feel they are both over and under rated!. I think that they are underrated in the influence they have had on metal, especially thrash!. While I do like them, and like their music, I think their musicianship is overrated!. Good song writers, but I don't think as technically sound as people make them out to be!. Slayer does have that intangible something that does make them great!.

I like them!.!.seen them live and they put on a good show!. I think their early albums are amazing from haunting the chapel to seasons!.!.!.!.after that, the quality of the albums decreased in my opinion!. They still had some good songs but maybe I just got tired of the same ol!.!.!.!.
I think that Kerry King is terrible overrated!.!.!. on the other hand Jeff Hanneman is underrated!. writes some great songs and is a much better player than kerry!.

well slayer undisputed kings of thrash !.when they came out with show no mercy it was fast and even mighty venom looked tamed !.with lightning fast guitar riffs they blew everything in their path thus creating new genre speed metal i doubt any band could have matched show no mercy with respect to the speed at the time the record was produced with such a nerve wracking guitar solo, mirror cracking fierce drumming which it possessed!.then came arguably best EP ever produced the supreme Haunting the Chapel !.which was followed by another gem Hell Awaits most matured record by slayer much ahead of even the follower Reign in Blood !.reign in blood was much below power when you compare with earlier release but did feature classics Angel of Death and Raining Blood !.then came the South of heaven which was much slower as compared to their earlier release but was another greatest display of musicianship !.overall much better interms of quality and they did manage to overcome lotta flaws from the earlier record in this one !.this was followed by Season in abyss which was above average featuring skeleton of society !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. but soon the music took a downslide with every succeeding record !.sign of end were depict with season in abyss !.they never managed to get the quality in term of music with followed record

ANTICHRIST : one of the catchiest song ever written !. faster then the speed of light !.araya with his diabolical screeching vocals and hanneman at his best !. track features some amazing solo along with memorable chorus
CAPTOR OF SIN : intro solo to this particular track is totally madness !. drumming is quite intense and complex which when u combine with the guitar solo bring you a perfect track nothing can better this one

Slayer f*ckin kills!. We all know that around here!. Reign In Blood will always be the epitome of thrash and one of the best metal records of all time!. Every release after that has been nothing short of brilliant - even stacked against RiB!. Always true to form, always exhausting, always heavy as all Hell, always stepping it up and proving there really is no stopping the Slayer monster!. That's all there is to it!.
