She was like no one else, and there isn't anyone since her, that can measure up!. Who today would back a girl with bad acne scars, an "unpretty girl" who would never feature as a glamourous cover girl by anyone's standards

Most definitely yes! She wasn't ugly at all for in her very smile and laugh alone she was more stunning than when she sang her songs!. I was only 12 when I first saw her, but you could hear a needle drop on that crowded street as everyone went silent when she turned the corner on the left to enter the Filmore with Michael J!. Pollard tagging along, almost skipping trying to keep up with her!. I laugh everytime I think of the faces of those two in that moment like a huge multifaceted diamond of a memory I could look at again and again and she and the very colors of those feathers of hers in the wind will never fade!. Nor that of the others on the same street that night I was lucky enough to have met at the time without ever having any idea of what they would later become!.
If anything, all their beautiful faces and smiles oddly seem more and more brilliant the more I remember them, but that was when they were all so young, and I, well I was always the youngest back then wherever I went for some reason!.

Today,practically all female singers have to have videos showing how far their legs go up to their a'se or how sexy they can gyrate,singing talent is irrelevant!.
It works both ways,how many of todays singers would have made it when you only had the radio or telly to get across to your audience and had to rely on talent Www@Enter-QA@Com

I honestly think janis joplin was beautiful!
But i know what you mean, someone like simon cowell, someone as stupid as him, who cares more about money than music, wouldnt take her on! But you could never keep talent like hers away!
Same goes for Dylan, do you think dylan would make it!? imagine if he went on american idol, he wouldnt get past the first round, i dont know today if he would have made it!
