Its because you arent getting enough oxygen!. Do some of the breathing exercises you find on youtube!.

Yes, it is!. Many singers yawn when they begin to learn singing because they are not used to the way they have to breathe when performing!. The yawn is simply a response to two things: first, your mouth is open wider for longer periods of time than when you are speaking, and second, you are taking in a different kind of breath than you are used to!. When you sing, you need a deep breath that fills the lungs completely!. When you are simply speaking, you don't need this much air to support your voice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
yawning is caused by your body needed more air, like kind of saying "hey take a deep breath now" without asking!. so when you sing your taking quicker smaller breaths, so your body needs to yawn more!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
