Problem playing too "mechanically" on my guitar?!

Question: Problem playing too "mechanically" on my guitar!?
People have mentioned how when I play guitar, I sound too "mechanical"!. They say I'm not getting the feeling across that should be by the song that I'm playing!. I've gotten a little confused on how to fix this problem!. Does anybody have any suggestions!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

There's nothing wrong with having good technique!. Feeling is important as well though, try to think what the song you're playing is about and how the music fits with that!. On a basic level - sad, happy, angry !.!.!. Keep it in mind when you're covering songs, it's more subtle than you think!.

Try a few songs by artists that you maybe wouldn't normally play, simpler rhythm stuff maybe it'll take a long time to get to grips with!. Try things like playing with a 'lazy' feel, a little behind the beat!.

Above all, just keep practicing :DWww@Enter-QA@Com

I only play a little, but I've learned that if you don't follow stroke patterns exactly and go with what feels right, it sounds less mechanical and forced!. Music has to be from the heart to sound like music, so do what feels right instead of what is technically right!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Stop thinking so much and just feel the song inside you!. The stroke pattern is idea is also a good one, but it sounds to me like you need to stop thinking so much, guitar isn't to be logical it is meant to express oneself!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
