Can I play bass on a regular strat?!

Question: Can I play bass on a regular strat!?
I recently formed a band with my freinds and i've decided to play bass!. Even though I don't own a bass guitar, is it possible to play bass on a regular 6 string electric guitar!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you are on a very tight budget you can learn the basics on the low 4 strings of a guitar!. It will be fine for now!. You will eventually want a Bass for that extra bottom (which can be run through your current guitar amp--be careful though-it can blow fairly easy!)

Another option is getting a pedal that will take your guitar signal and lower it by an octave or two!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not really, you CAN play the chords but it won't sound right!. Try getting some deeper strings and whatnot!.

You really should get a bass though, there's no way to really replicate the sound of the bass itself though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

sorta
you could buy a bass pedal and get a lower sound, however you will never have the right tone from single coil strat pickups and new tinny strings!. plus the spaces in between the strings wont allow you to play with your fingers too wellWww@Enter-QA@Com

yeah you could, but it would sound a whole lot better on bass!.!.!. also if you brought a bass you would need a bass amp!. but you can pick them up quite cheap!! :D
hope i helped xxWww@Enter-QA@Com

Maybe through distortion and just playing the four thickest strings !. And using a bass amp !.!.!.!.!. might as well pick up a real bass guitar cheap!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
