Tell her it will raise your grades!. That did the trick for mine, and I wa right!. I graduated with a 4!.85 and I play about 20 instruments!. Pay for them all myself except the piano we borrowed from family friends!.

Get an electric drum set, invest in a nice one MAKE SURE OF THIS, but you can plug in headphones and you alone can hear your wonderful drumming!. also, it has fun options, and there is always becoming an actual percussionist!. Practice at school so as not to bother your stupid mom lol, play things like marimba, bells, xylophone and things like that, they aren't as noisy!. Do it!. By all means, do it!.

Don't let your mom stop you from being a musician if that's truly what you want!.

I'm not even kidding about the grade thing!. You can show your mom this as a testament to my saying MUSIC MAKES YOUR KID BETTER ALL AROUND!!!!

*edit* Elite, I'm sorry but you're wrong!. Drums sound just fine by themselves!. Just because they don't have 'notes' doesn't mean the cymbals and toms don't have pitches!. Don't get me started on this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

chances are she probly wont let u get one cause there very loud, try convincing her ull only play wen shes not home or somthing, if u have a room in ur house, like a media room there usualy quite good for not letting sound out, im getting my drum kit soon and thats wer its going, my parents can just live with the sound if it gets out of the media room, but if you don't have 1, try going to lessons for a bit and like when you can play really good, your mom will probly buy you one because your good at it and is one of passions and she shoudl support it and let u go on with it by buying a drum kitWww@Enter-QA@Com

tell her you will lock yourself in your room or garage and play with the windows and doors closed so its not a bother to anyone!. if she says no after this, then i dont think you should get it now!. you can always get it later on!. stick with guitar if you cant go drums, guitar is cool b/c you can play it alone without drums, but drums cant go without a guitar or some other musical instrument!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Just Show Her Some Top Soft Romantic Songs that women like , and explain the drums rule in that songs for her and show her that drums arent really noisy , cus some people think wrong about drums and when they hear DRUM word they think of that Heavy Metal bands that drums are really noisy , and Electric Drum is a good idea too!. Good LuckWww@Enter-QA@Com

My band mate kinda had that problem!. Not so much his mom but the neighborhood he lives in is up tight!. So he got practice pads for his drum set!. Just put them over the drum and you can still tell pretty much what it sounds like, it's just more quiet!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

what about an electric drum kit!. they are more expensive but the are like electric guitars!. you can connect them to an amp or through headphones!. we have on at school for quiet practice Www@Enter-QA@Com

why don't u buy a drum kit and play it in the garage!.!.!.if u don't have a garage then maybe your friend's place or some place in your area where you can play drums :)!.!.!.good luck!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Say mom if I get a drum kit, I'll buy you a house!. Than when you get big and famous!. Buy her a house!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

if u stay after scool tell her u can practice there or sumwere else other than ur house Www@Enter-QA@Com
