Question: Should I teach myself to play guitar!?
I want to play guitar, right!. So I don't have the money to spend on lessons, so do you think I should teach myself to play or would it be a waste of time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Definetly do it!!
I taught my self how to play about 16 years ago, and have been playing ever since!. I recommend getting a Mel Bay or similar chord book to get you started!. Once you learn a couple chords you can start learning songs or better yet write your own songs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The piano is easy enough to learn, obviously not at a high level on your own but you could teach your self the basics and I you feel you want to continue, pay for the lessons!. There are plenty of books with simple tunes to get you started, or have a look on youtube, there are loads of people who show you how to play what tune you want! I know one guy who is really good, he can give you a hand!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah!. Teach yourself!. I took guitar lessons!.!.!.!.!. It didn't really help at all!. I hated going there!. I taught myself songs I like (The Beatles) and I'm doing fine!. YouTube is a great site to look for lessons, because you can pick which song you want, and it's completely free!

Go for it!. With access to the internet its relatively easy these days to find out how to play nearly any instrument AND it's free of charge!. That's how I learned and I've been playing for 6 years now!. There are even some techniques that you almost need to teach yourself (SEE: Sweeping)!.

Hey Man! why are yo asking me !? You don't need money!. All you need is talent!. Well at least interest, anyway!. So, get out the guitar and start strummin!. If you cannot afford lessons, then buy a songbook with songs you like, that shows the chord diagrams, and learn from the book to play those songs you like!. Take it from there!.

I'm teaching myself off of what I can find off the internet and I've kinda come to a dead end, so If you choose to teach yourself find an in depth book or dvd!. It's definitely possible though!. Good luck! Www@Enter-QA@Com
