I'm not!. 1990 music mostly sucked!.
I don't understand these people that talk about bring it back to the old school!. 1987-1992 hip hop sucked!! I mean it may have been great back then, but most of it sucked!. By today's standards!. They were the pioneers yes, much respect given!. But they were 'new' to this hip hop, so everyone's style and rap flow was laaaaaaaaame!. I-hate-how-ev-er-y-rap-per-back in the daaaaaaaay-rhymed-real-ly-on-beat-cuz-th!.!.!. know-no betterrrrrrrrr!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Even the lamest rappers you hear on the radio these days have a better flow than the old school cats did back when Hip Hop started!.
I really can't listen to much music pre 1996!. There are MANY exceptions!.!.!. but compared to all the once-classic stuff that's out pre-1996!.!.!. most of it is unbearable to hear!. Classics like The Chronic and The Gravdiggaz, etc!.!.!. there ARE exceptions!.!.!. but I prefer my Y2K underground Hip Hop!. Jedi Mind Tricks, Snow Goons, Apathy, Army Of The Pharaohs, Joe Budden, etc!.!.!.!.
