Yes , I admit that Bon Jovi is among the bands i have in my PC , but comparing Bon Jovi to a band like Dire Straits !!! , now that's harsh !.
Bon Jovi is a band that hired and still hires writers to assist them to go mainstream year by year !. It's not that I blame them for seeking commercial success and being radio friends , that is the case of 90% of the 80s / 90s and 00s bands especially the Glam and Hair Metalists !. However ; being what they are makes them not even peers to talented , influential writers of their own and real deal Rock 'N' Roll artists like Dire Straits !. Mark Knopfler is considered one of the best guitarists to master many sub skills of guitar sound and a great frontman !. In conclusion , Dire Straits are to be compared with peers like (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) for example regardless of genres difference !.
BTW >>> a song like (Wanted Dead Or Alive) sould have been Bon Jovi's style always !. Jon has a great voice and Ritchie is a talented guitarist , yet they should embrace more Rock 'N' Roll attitude !.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They're one of my 5 equal favourite bands :)
Now, don't get me wrong, I like a few Bon Jovi songs {even love a couple}, but they can never compare to the Glaswegian / Newcastle greatness that is Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits!.
Mark's guitar playing alone makes them a cut-above the average, and when you then listen to his lyrics {so much great philosophy}, it's just amazing!.

I've never heard that many stuff from Dire Straits, but Bon Jovi is my favorite band, I love their sound and i think that Jon's voice is amazing!. I also love the way that Richie plays the guitar, and Tico Torres is a very talented drummer!. I like their sound from the 80s but the lyrics of their Country stuff have a lot of feeling!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
