Sam Cooke was the Milestone the majority of Soul and R&B artists are measured against!. The sad thing about his death is even today we still don't understand why Sam Cooke was murdered!. I believe he was setup by the office manager and the woman he picked up that night but it's still a mystery!. His music is classic and timeless and I play his songs almost everyday while I work!. He is one of my favorite artists along with Otis Redding!. Marvin was a great artist also and his music helped ease the pain of social change and upheaval people were going through during the late 60's and early 70's!.
