I've been playing lead guitar for maybe a week now lol!. My teacher said I'm showing promise!. I used to play bass before hand and know music theory!. I've been working through about 5 tabs so far with not too much difficult but I am definitely still a novice!. I've heard it takes a while to be able to solo and those guitar parts are intermediate!.
Can you estimate how long it might take before I'll be able to do that!?

This question is not one that can be determined by anyone else but yourself!. The true answer is it depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put into practicing!. If you played bass, you should understand that the more you put into an instrument, the more you will get out of it!. As well, if you truly want to excel at guitar, I would recommend something more difficult and challenging that Fall Out Boy songs or My Chemical Romance!. The only way to excel is to push yourself outside of your boundaries!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It takes different people different amount of time before they can do certain things!. it all depends!. there's no way for any of us to know how well you actually play!. Judging by the songs though!.!.!. fall out boy and my chemical romance are hardly bands that i would consider technically difficult or even technically challenging at allWww@Enter-QA@Com
no idea i just started last week i can read tab (my mate taught me) and play g d and um c and tune it but that's about it

I would say it depends on how much you practice and play, but i would say a couple weeks for the full part on all the songs you've listed ;)Www@Enter-QA@Com
