they may retire in the long run, but 2008 has been a pretty exciting year for them!. i doubt that they'd drop the ball this early!.
Tre was just at a Golf tournament about 5 months ago, and even Mike dropped in for a little while!. His girlfriend Brittany is about 8 months pregnant!.
Billie got done with touring for Pinhead Gunpowder a few months back!.
and The Foxboro Hot Tubs (sideproject introduced back in late december 2007!. they released a full album on 5/20/08) are done with their mini-tour in the U!.S!. west-mid states as of this past june!. (if you want a little more info on the foxboro hot tubs go to this site, or email me!. it's a really great thing and you should check them out!) they were a 60's inspired album seen as creative run-off from all their new material!. (Prior to American Idiot, they released another side project band called The Network, and then AI came out a few months later!.)
Pinhead Gunpowder released a new Vinyl last month and it's now available for download in the US through Amazon here: http://www!.amazon!.com/7/dp/B001ELBQUC!?ie!.!.!.
they also released a Screeching Weasel vinyl, but no downloads yet!.
it's safe to say Green Day is definately not gone!.
well that's 2008 in a nutshell, and we're pretty sure that their next album due in early 2009!. there has been an excessive ammount of rumors going around lately, please don't believe them! Green Day will let everyone know when the time is right!.

Currently they are working on side project bands (unfortunately the names escape me at the moment) and are spending time with friends and family and just enjoying their private lives!. They are working on writing a new CD, but as of yet nothing has been said about this CD being their last, or about them retiring after it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
