I would say that The Clash are the best punk band I have come across!.
I also listen to the Sex Pistols but they can be too loud and screamy for me sometimes!.
I would recommend Green Day!. they are more pop- punk though!. their early stuff is more punk, as they grow older they become more and more pop!. but they are good!.
