i think hip hop has TOO MUCH swag and not enough TALENT these days!.labels arent into selling the art as it is in selling the artist!.SWAG is now the selling point for most of what is being promoted now!.not the lyrical prowess,or the content!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
And, isn't ironic that so much focus on swagger is the very thing that killed the swagger!. The problem with Jay-Z is that he's so popular that other dudes break their necks tryna be him or top him, without living the experiences or putting in the work it took to become him!. Everybody's tryna be Jay-Z-In-A-Box (Batteries Not Included, Some Assembly Required)!. Some MCs don't get it that you don't have his swagger because you ain't him, but you could develop your own swagger if you focused more on being you!. For instance, Nelly sucks major wang as an MC, but he's himself - not somebody else - and he makes millions of dollars being just that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The people who listened to rap & hip hop in the 80's thought the 90's stuff sucked!. Now the people who enjoyed the styles of 2Pac, JayZ, Biggie, etc in the 90's don't like the new style!. I'm one of those people!. I throw on my MP3 and don't even listen to the radio anymore!. But the generation who was not listening to hip hop & rap in the 90's hear what's out now and think it's the sh*t!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
I do think we will never get back to the days of Tupac and Notorious BIG no rapper will ever be that fresh and down to earth again in my opinion however a few decent rappers are still in the game like Ice cube and dr dre, F lil wayne, 50 cent and that GARBAGE people call hip hop nowadays however!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
