Some artists are judged not just by musical success, but by their effect on history!. Led Zeppelin was the first band to regularly fill sports stadiums for concerts!. They basically invented arena rock, and showed the industry that there was a ton of money to be made from rock concerts in huge venuesWww@Enter-QA@Com
Hell no! Most rock bands in the modern day and many back when Zeppelin was in its prime would have never gone as far as country for some songs!. Zeppelin did!
Plus, have you ever heard John Bonham play the drums--the best drummer I've heard to date!.
Robert Plant was also an outstanding vocalist!.!.!.I highly doubt that he's ever hit a wrong note while singing!.
John Paul Jones!.!.!.great bassist--one of the best to ever live!. He was also great at making string arrangements!. For examples of his string arrangements, check out the songs "Heartbreak Station" and "Winds of Change," which were both on the album HEARTBREAK STATION by Cinderella and was released in 1990!.
Then, there was Jimmy Page who, by far, is still one of the most influential guitarists of all time!.
Without Zeppelin, many famous bands (all the hard rock bands) probably would have never gotten signed at all!. So, you'd be able to say goodbye to Van Halen, which was another influential band!. No Zeppelin, no Van Halen--no 80's rock!. That means there'd never be any crappy punk music or rap either!.
Think about it--many genres would not be the way they are today without Zeppelin!.

Their fast music ("Communication Breakdown", "Misty Mountain Hop", "Custard Pie") was some of the best heavy metal from the 1970's!. I don't like their slower songs ("All of My Love", "Rain Song")!. "Stairway to Heaven" is a good song, but it has been overplayed!. I can't even listen to it, because I have heard it so many times!. Some people say that Jimmy Page did sloppy guitar solos, but they sound good when you turn up the speakers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
HELL NO!. what you fail to realize is, that back when they first started, there was absolutely no one with their sound!. they were about as hard as hard could get for that time!. that was MY time - and they were my fave band!. i had every album (yes - vinyl because there were no cd's then) and basically wore the damn things out!.
