i think they pioneered a lot of the pop-rock that we still hear today!.!.!. and the straight up weirdness they combined with gratifying sounds was groundbreaking!. they wrote some truly classic songs that can be enjoyed on a purely pleasurable musical leve, especially through the seventies!. and they have loads of influential history behind them including the pap surrounding beatlemania, you should be happy with the beatles tho!. they're greatWww@Enter-QA@Com

Nope! They wrote one of the first 'metal' songs 'Helter Skelter' (unfortunately influencing Charles Manson at the same time :s) And influenced probably a lot more bands you listen to than you think!.
