Ooh that's a tough question because almost every song in country music impacts my life-that's why I love it so much!. One song is "Go Rest High On That Mountain" because it reminded me of my dad!. We played this song at his funeral!. I know Vince Gill wrote the song for Keith Whitley and for his brother who passed, but anyone who has lost someone can relate to this song!. This song impacted my life because it talks about the person in the song having a troubled life and always had hard times no matter how much he tried, but he kept on fighting right up to the end!. I love the line that says "your work on earth is done" because my dad worked so hard every day of his life!. He earned a living with his hands all his life and he was the strongest man I ever knew!. And as much as I miss him, I am thankful he doesn't have to work anymore and he can finally rest!.
