Do your remember the song "Crimson and Clover"? Did you like it? ?!

Question: Do your remember the song "Crimson and Clover"!? Did you like it!? !?
I think it came out about 81 or 82!. I was reminded of it when it was on the radio the other day!. I wasn't really interested in rock or popular music until I was fifteen, but I remember when I was twelve in 82, the other girls told me I was supposed to like "Crimson and Clover" and quit being such a dork!. It doesn't sound like anything special to me now, what do you think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The only version (original version) I know of is circa 1968 by Tommy James and the Shondells!. I believe Joan Jett came out with a version later on, but I've never heard it!. There's no way it could have been as good as the original because of the hippy/peace movement of the 60's!.

In any case, the 1968ish version was a great song because it was during the so-called psychedelic rock era of the 60's!. It was perfect for its era, and is a great classic!. But if you did not grow up in the 60's (as I did), I can see where it might not be anything special!.

The link below is Tommy James doing it in 2006, and it sounds remarkably like his 1968 version!. You know, after listening to it after all these year, it STILL ROCKS!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

"Crimson and clover, over and over!.!.!.!." Da da DA da, da da DA da!.!.!.!.

We always consider this a piece of "stoner music," and the version I remember was the original, not the Joan Jett version!. I like it because it brings back memories of a time when I was younger *sigh,* but the people who did it were pretty much one-hit wonders!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you like Joan Jett's remake, listen to Tommy James and The Shondelles original!. That kills her remake!. The reverb at the end of the original (Tommy James) is actually from him plugging his microphone into his amp and singing "crimson and clover"!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm young but i like dat song ^_^ but it's all about what you like, if you feel it's not special, that's your opinion and tastes in music, others shouldn't tell you how 2 feel about things!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I hate to tell you but it came out around 1967 or 1968, I remember listening to it in the car going to pick up my brother and sister from school, I was still too young to go,Www@Enter-QA@Com
