Question: Anyone who knows anything about guitar pick-ups, please answer!!?
Okay, I'm trying to learn more and more about electric guitars and now I'm trying to learn about pick-ups!. My question is this:
How do you know how it will sound!? Honestly (besides asking the dude in the shop)!? Considering I know nothing about them, how would I know how it would sound when in my guitar!?

There are loads of good pick ups out there!. How to pick them is a good question!. It's pretty difficult to tell someone what to buy or how they are going to sound!. If you can find a shop with some different guitars that you can try, do that!. Maybe check out what your favorite artists use!. It's tough thing to do!. The first responder said EMG didn't have enough mid range for him!. I've got an ESP with EMG81s on it!. I love them!. But it could be my amp is different!. Probably didn't help much, but guitars, amps, pick ups, strings all are very personal preferences!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
ok well you have to trust the company makes good pickups, and if they are really good, with a little toning on them and the amp, you should get the sound you desire!.
