I judge piano students for NYSSMA each year - I hear about 200 students (the organization hears over 300,000 thousand instrumentalists and singers each year) and have been doing this for MANY years!. I also judge for other organizations that have similar structure - many levels of students of varying ages and amounts of study!. You are NOT GOOD!. IF you were to ask me to judge your skills in *composition* - then words would fail me - it has NOT structure of any kind, and it just minute after minute of sloppy pounding!. But you asked about PIANO skills - you have poor hand position!. You exhibit no technique - I see not evidence of any legato playing, phrasing, passage/scale mastery - only vertical chopping, and poorly done, at that!. There is no *musicianship* - only frenetic hammering!. And do not even THINK of comparing what you are *playing* to some genuine work with repeated notes - you are SO not in the same category!. Either you have NEVER had a lesson - and that shows - or you choose do ignore everything you have been taught (or you have been taught terribly) and just BEAT on the keyboard, thinking that this is indicative or some kind of personal, creative *style*!.

This is not my personal opinion - it is my PROFESSIONAL opinion, since I judge pianists, singers, and woodwind players (primarily flutists) as a significant portion of my career - since 1971!. I am not alone in this - several other experts have already written in, and there are more out there on these lists!. If some of them pass on giving an opinion, it is more than likely that either they agree with what they see written already, or that they are just shuddering!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If Question 2 was yes then i'd say its still pretty weak for 7 years of playing!.!.!.If Question 2 was no then i'd say go get a new teacher cause i dun even believe anyone after playing for 7 years and with guidance still could be that lousy!.!.!.sure its fast but other genres of music could be more impressive and pleasant sounding than the bass just playing a note or chord while the right hand just imitates a really annoying series of notes that just plays over and over continuously!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Truthfully!? Your playing is very mediocre!. If you'd been playing for 7 months, I'd say you're respectable!. After 7 years though!? That's pretty awful!.

You're really good!. Personally, I didn't enjoy the song but I can see that you're quite talented/skilled (however you want to look at it)!.

Perhaps it's the keyboard that I'm not liking when it comes to the song!. I'd like to hear on a real piano!.

1!. a metronome!. you're all over the map in timing!.
2!. some accuracy !.!.!. lots of fat-finger notes
3!. a theme !.!.!. what's that you're playing!? oh, a guitar strum pattern of a few chords!.
