the pedal is not only for MIDI sounds recording (like a synthesizerz, keyboard) for example you mix (sax+horn) and store them in key 1, see!?
that's MIDI recording / recalling!. the Roland FC300 does the same but with no effect adding!.!.!. actually you work out the shape of the sound on a PC or synthesizer and then transfer it to the pedal, and memorize it on one of its buttons!.
Roland FC 300 lets you also play music as if you are accompanied by a band, you record the whole song in MIDI format and controle it through Roland fc 300
for expl: add piste, remove piste from 1 to 8, add sound in button 9, record a clean guitar chorus in button 3 soi that in the 3rd minute, i'll push the button and change the guitar sound!.!.!.!.!. and after that i memorize that in the 3 rd minute and 30 sec, the Roland FC 300 will order the keyboard or it's own processor where the information is memorized, tpo change the rhythm to Dance!!!
