Singing the National Anthem? ?!
Question: Singing the National Anthem!? !?
My school is holding tryouts for anyone who can sing the star spangled banner to sing it at assemblies!. I am an 8th grader and that's who they will choose!. I have around 8 years of singing/ choral experience, I have a nice vibrato and use breath support to help guide me!. I can sing most of it but up until that second to last note , free!. I think maybe I'm uncomfortable going up into my falsetto, head voice!. I'm a little bit worried about trying out that I will falter on that one note and my chances will be ruined!. I'm not sure if I should, though I am a good singer and I have been told so by multiple music professionals!. Do you have any tips on how to make this last note spectacular and how to handle my nerves on this difficult song!? I will have to sing it in front of the entire school!.!.!.

try lifting your soft palette (which is what your tonsils are connected to) like your about to yawn and push the note from your stomach muscles!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
1) Change the note to a simpler (full voice) version of "free" instead of pitching up to your head voice if you feel uncomfortable!.
2) Or practice singing that note over and over again until you've got it down!. If you can get comfortable with it, then throw it in!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
