Do modern "classical" composers have any idea how to communicate with !

Question: Do modern "classical" composers have any idea how to communicate with an audience!? !?
Of course, not all, but most composers today are trying way too hard, and the music comes off as unemotional and wierd like a 1950s art film!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't know so much Tahuti!.

I like Paul Schwartz which has a rather religious, neoclassical feel to it though it does border on "Soundtrack"!. Otherwise I think the classical music of this age is band likes Enigma and Delerium, etc!. simply because it is the only form that consciously seeks to express itself as such!.

Given time though the Aeon will call Musicians to channel its art and we may just see a Second Renaissance!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

In all honesty, I think that this is a double-edged sword!. Yes, there are lots of composers who don't communicate well with an audience!. But, there are plenty that do!. (I'm thinking of John Corigliano, off hand)

Some things to consider:
- Is it fair to assume that "communication with an audience" is every composer's goal!?

- Communication is a two-way street!. Are audiences listening!? (not sitting in the concert hall and staying awake, but REALLY listening!.!.!.)

- does music have to be "emotional" in order to communicate!? What does that really mean, anyway!?
