Little Feat!. They were just taking off when Lowell George died!. They had critical respect for years!. Mick Jagger said they were the greatest unknown band out there!.
I would have said The Allman Brothers Band but the two deaths of Duane and Berry combined with upheavals (Chuck Leavell quitting, Dickie Betts getting fired over his alcoholism) just dragged them down to touring level!.
They haven't had an inspiring release since 1994, alas!. Lynyrd Skynyrd have turned into a sad parody of themselves!.
