The teen boy lost his girlfriend he loved, and the future him is explaining that even though it seems hard and impossible now, his future is really good, he has a good job and a good family, or something like that!.!. There's another country song if anyone else knows it, of a mother, her young son got in trouble at school and she doesn't know how to deal with it, and the refrain explains how her father hugged her when she did something wrong and then she treats her son the same way!.
